Itema names PT Illies as sales agent in Indonesia

Advanced weaving solutions provider, Itema said it has appointed PT Illies Engineering Indonesia as its sole agent for the Indonesian market.

Effective January 2015, all activities related to the sale of Itema weaving machines, spare parts and after-sales services in Indonesia are being carried out by Illies Engineering Indonesia.

The new set up in Indonesia is in line with Itema’s strategy to build up a stronger presence in the Asia Pacific weaving markets with the creation of a new dedicated regional hub based out of Hong Kong.

According to Itema, APAC represents an increasingly important part of Itema’s global turnover and so Itema has relocated Cristiano Capitanio, regional head of sales to the Hong Kong hub.

Fulvio Carlo Toma, Itema’s Group sales & marketing director said, “Itema works relentlessly to provide the best tailored solutions, as well as effective and efficient services to customers worldwide.”

“We are convinced that the long-standing record of professionalism, reliability and expertise in the textile industry that distinguish Illies & Co will help further reinforce Itema’s presence in Indonesia,” he added.

“It will also allow us to respond quickly and effectively to our customers requirements in what we consider as one of the most strategically important markets,” Toma noted.

“Indonesia is a key market in Asia Pacific and we are deeply committed to provide, besides the best weaving machines in the playground, the most accurate and dedicated service,” Itema said.

Michael Hennig, MD - Asia Pacific at Illies said, “Our Company has a long-standing know-how on the Asian textile market.”

“Our Indonesia branch is honoured to count Itema among its suppliers and we are confident that together we will build a successful and strong partnership to satisfy needs of Indonesian weavers,” he too added. (AR)
