Asian ethylene climbs from upstream price gain last week

Ethylene prices climbed up in Asia in the last week ended May 29 from gain in upstream energy prices in the region.

In Korea, average prices went up by US$ 30/ton and or 2.26 per cent were quoted at US$ 1360/ton in the last week, as compared to its previous week.

In Japan, average prices rose by US$ 25/ton and were assessed at US$ 1350/ton in the last week, up 1.89 per cent from its previous week.

In SE Asia, average prices grew by US$ 15/ton and were offered quoted at US$ 1400/ton in the last week, an increase of 1.08 per cent as against its previous week.

In NE Asia, average prices increased by US$ 25/ton or 1.84 per cent from its previous week and were spotted at US$ 1385/ton in the last week.

In India, average prices lifted by US$ 15/ton and were quoted at US$ 1400/ton in the last week, up 1.08 per cent as compared to its previous week.
