IndianRoots.com, an online marketplace for Indian fashion, has announced its partnership with Banka Silk, a handloom brand from Bihar that is working towards the uplift of artisans of Banka district .

In a statement, IndianRoots said that with its wide reach among Indian and NRI patrons, it will now serve as an online platform for Banka Silk to showcase their innovative range to a worldwide audience.

Rahul Narvekar, CEO, IndianRoots.com says, “IndianRoots is known not only for promoting Indian fashion but for highlighting the handicrafts and artisans who have lost their sheen with the dominance of capitalism. Our aim has always been to promote Indian handicrafts and give them a platform to showcase their products. I am a firm believer of the “Make In India” motto and always work towards strengthening Indian craftsmanship.”

Udyan Singh, MD of Banka Silk, says, “A brand like ours which produces world class products needed an authentic platform to showcase our products. IndianRoots is the perfect choice for every discerning Indian brand looking for recognition as it connects us with the Indians residing in India and abroad”.

IndianRoots, since its inception in 2013 has been hosting brands and designers with an aim to bridge the gap between products ‘Made in India’ and the worldwide market of Indians. On the other hand, Banka Silk also aims at restoring the lost glory of weavers of Banka district who have steadily witnessed decline in demand in the age of machine spun creations. With a steady flow of traffic from over 150 countries, IndianRoots is the apt choice of partner to help Banka Silk reach its potential customers in India and abroad. (SH)
