In September 2007 turnover in industry increased by 3.4% at annual level, while the value of new orders grew by 11.1%.
Turnover in industry in September higher at monthly and at annual level: In September 2007 industrial enterprises created 18.6% more turnover than in August 2007 (mostly because of holidays) and at the same time 3.4% more turnover than a year ago. In the first nine months of 2007 turnover increased compared to the same period of 2006 as well, by 8.3%.
Compared to the previous month, turnover in September increased in manufacturing by 19.2%, while in mining and quarrying it decreased by 14%. In September 2007 in all three main industrial groupings turnover was higher than in August 2007: in consumer goods industries by 16.7%, in capital goods industries by 32.1% and in intermediate goods industries by 12.2%.
In September 2007 higher turnover from the domestic and non-domestic market at monthly level: Industrial enterprises created more domestic and non-domestic turnover in September 2007 than in the previous month; turnover from the domestic market was higher by 9.1% and turnover from the non-domestic market by 23.9%. At annual level, in September 2007 domestic turnover was lower by 1.6%, but non-domestic turnover was 5.9% higher.
In September Euro-zone turnover and non-Euro-zone turnover at monthly level increased: Compared to the previous month, in September 2007 Euro-zone turnover increased by 30.3% and non-Euro-zone turnover by 16.2%. At annual level Euro-zone turnover slightly decreased (by 0.7%), while non-Euro-zone turnover increased by 16.6%.
