Market price for ethylene bounce immensly on Jan 9

Ethylene, the most produced organic compound in the world, is considered to be one of the important raw materials in textiles and organic chemical industry. It is an inflammable, colourless gaseous alkene, obtained from petroleum and natural gas.
As ethylene production in China is growing, the market is also surging rapidly. Prices of ethylene took a huge leap, compared to the depression in last year.
On Janyary 9, ethylene prices for Asian and Far Eastern region jumped heavily, where as for European countries slight upward trend is observed.
Asia region ethylene prices:
Ethylene, CFR Northeast Asia, at US $1300-1310 per metric ton.
Ethylene, CFR Southeast Asia, at US $1305-1310 per metric ton.
Far East region ethylene prices:
Ethylene, FOB Korea, at US $1310 per metric ton.
Ethylene, FOB Japan, at US $1310 per metric ton.
Europe ethylene prices:
Ethylene, FD Northwest Europe, at Euro 1010.00-1015.00 per metric ton.
Ethylene, CIF Northwest Europe, at US $ 1440.00-1450.00 per metric ton.
