Freudenberg Nonwovens has taken over the operations of the Spasciani Air Filter SpA in Milan. This takeover further expands Freudenberg Nonwovens' filter business and strengthens its operations in the European filter market.
Spasciani Air Filter manufactures filters for general HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning) and for industrial process ventilation. The company has around 50 employees in its Milan works.
"Within the framework of our European filter business expansion, we can now supply the European market with Viledon cassette filters from Italy", explained Dr. Jörg Sievert, Managing Director of the Filter Division of Freudenberg Nonwovens.
"The takeover of Spasciani Air Filter operations will provide our customers with a seamless expansion of our one-source, air filter portfolio." Viledon cassette filters are used in industrial ventilation, clean room ventilation and finedust filtration in the chemical, food processing and electronics industries.
Freudenberg Nonwovens is the world's largest producer of nonwovens, with 23 manufacturing and processing sites in 13 countries. The company manufactures interlining nonwovens for the apparel, automotive, construction, shoe, textile/upholstered furniture and hygiene industries and for filters, medical applications and numerous other industrial applications.
