Dhaka Textiles & Garments Machinery Expo opens today

The 5th Dhaka International Textiles and Garments Machinery Exhibition-2008 is about to kick off today at 12 noon, at Bangladesh-China Friendship Conference Centre located in Dhaka.

Trade visitors and industry professionals who would be visiting the four day event, which will run till January 24, will be able to get a glimpse of textile and garment machineries showcased here.

Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA) and ES Event Management Sdn Bhd, organized this expo with an ultimate aim to offer an ideal platform to demonstrate new products and exploit business opportunities.

The Dhaka International Textile and Garment Industry Exhibition 2008 is expected to act as the definite gateway, which provides excellent quality and high-effectiveness one-stop selling and sourcing platform for the enterprises.

The event is designed to be a trendsetter for the industry, displaying new technology, state-of-the-art equipments, materials and services, as well as an excellent avenue for international suppliers and visitors to expand business to the lucrative markets and accelerate Bangladeshi technological advances that will impart effective quality, high speed and competitive cost to gain that all important edge in textile and garments industry.

Over 415 leading textile and garment machinery producing companies from 26 countries including Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Brazil, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, UK and USA are displaying their products engaging 730 booths.

Machineries that are to be presented here basically deal in textile and garment, dyeing and finishing, embroidery and knitting.
