Polyester & rayon yarn prices dip

PTA prices slightly bended upwards, MEG prices continued to fall on Monday, January 21. Semi-dull and bright polyester chips waved lower, prices of CDP chips and polyester PET bottle slices were trimmed down amid steadiness.
Price of acrylic staple 1.5 D × 38mm softened, acrylic top 3 D × 102mm price was in correction. CPL price slightly fell; price of nylon 6 slices was in occasional correction.
PSF prices declined. Polyester filament quotations were still stable, but overall inventory pressures were relatively high, there were some actual sales promotion activities. Short-term price trend is expected to remain mostly in a weak adjustment, due to cautious mentality in the market.
The entire market trends of cotton yarn and polyester and viscose yarn were changed slightly, prices remained stable. But polyester yarn 50s fell 50 yuan per ton in price and rayon yarn price continued to decline.
From sales of varieties, cotton yarn J21s, 32s were still salable, they are mainly used in production of nylon and cotton blended fabrics by air-jet looms.
Polyester yarn 45s also had good demand. VSF prices came down. Focus of market price is expected to shift lower.
