Ahlstrom BoD to convene AGM on April 2

Ahlstrom Corporation announced that the Board of Directors has decided to convene the Annual General Meeting of the Shareholders on Wednesday, April 2, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. Notice to the meeting will be published later.

The matters specified in Article 11 of the Articles of Association and the following proposals by the Board of Directors are on the agenda of the Annual General Meeting:

Distribution of profits:
The Board of Directors proposes to the Annual General Meeting that a dividend of EUR 1,00 per share be paid for the fiscal year that ended on December 31, 2007.

According to the proposal of the Board of Directors, the dividend record date will be April 7, 2008 and the pay date April 14, 2008. In addition, the Board of Directors proposes that EUR 70,000 be reserved to be used for the public good at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

Composition of the Board of Directors and Board remuneration:
The Compensation and Nomination Committee of the Board of Directors proposes that the number of Board members remains unchanged at seven.

The Committee proposes that Thomas Ahlström, Sebastian Bondestam, Jan Inborr, Bertel Paulig, Peter Seligson and Willem F. Zetteler be re-elected for the period ending at the close of the next Annual General Meeting.

The current member Urban Jansson has informed the Committee that after 8 years on the Board of Directors he is no longer available for re-election. Therefore, theCommittee proposes that Martin Nüchtern be elected as a new member of the Board.
