Following the success of the 2006 China Cotton Schools, CCI will again hold the schools in two locations in China - Jinan and Hangzhou, two important textile manufacturing centers. Chinese buyers of U.S. cotton, representing China's largest mills, will convene March 6-7 and March 11-12 to hear presentations from the industry.
March 6-12, 2008 Jinan and Hangzhou, China
Topics include: an overview of U.S. cotton, the buying system, negotiating the cotton contract, executing the cotton contract and documentation, cotton contract dispute resolution, a world economic outlook for cotton, and risk management with an overview of ICE Futures U.S. and the Zhengzhou Cotton Exchange.
The schools' format is designed to enable buyers to maximize their practical knowledge of U.S. cotton so they can maximize benefits from their use of U.S. cotton - contributing ultimately to a more profitable bottom line for their companies.
Active exchange among participants regarding their experiences with U.S. cotton will be encouraged so that all attendees can gain valuable insights from “the field.”
