Experts from the industry point out that in this ongoing fiscal year, exports to Japan is also likely to increase by 14 percent to procure $6.5 billion. Along with crude oil, demand for apparel & textiles, wood products and fine art articles in Japan is likely to play a key role in lifting exports.
China has proved to be yet another potential market for Vietnamese products. Exports to the country are estimated at $4 billion in 2008, marking an increase of 25 percent over 2007.
