Feb '08
The 20th China Silk Trade Fair that extended from February 23-25, saw participation by over 140 domestic entrepreneurs that displayed a range of new silk products at various counters.

Starting from bed sheets and pillowslip to quilt cover and stuffing, the expo had innumerable of these items to offer the consumers.

Most important aspect of these new products was that these could be washed with water unlike the quilts used earlier.

The fair emphasized on showcasing a complete silk industrial chain that starts from raw materials and fabrics to finished products. A single silkworm cocoon can be turned into over 1000 meter silk thread, after overlapping and sewing it manually.

Presently, there are only a couple of manufacturers producing these special silk goods, two of which are Wujiang Yingbao Silk Quilt Co Ltd and Tongxian Shenshen Home Textile Co Ltd.
