Apparel and Accessories: Canadians spend more of their apparel dollars at Sears than any other retailer in the country. The women's, men's and children's fashion selection will feature national brands such as Alia, Tan Jay, Levis, Adidas and Columbia as well as Sears own brands that offer superior fit and value, including Jessica, Tradition, Weir Golf, Retreat and Nevada.
The cosmetics department, located at the main entrance, has a more dominant presence in the new store and carries a broad assortment of men's and ladies fragrances.
Home and Hardlines: Sears sells more major appliances than any other retailer in the country. In addition to being the only retailer in the country to offer all of the top brands of major appliances including Kenmore, the number one selling brand in the country, the store now offers the latest technology whether it comes to washing, cooking, or refrigeration. Sears will also showcase an expanded assortment of home electronics, including the latest in high-definition televisions and installation options for home theatre.
The new store offers an impressive selection of home fashions, housewares including small appliances, and bed & bath, including Sears Whole Home(TM) brand of linens, window coverings, bedding, and home décor accessories. The hardware department houses Sears own Craftsman brand of hand and power tools, as well as seasonal products such as lawn and garden tools, mowers, air conditioners and snow blowers. Sears Free Spirit treadmills will also be prominently located within the Home and Hardlines area of the new store.
Grand Opening in September: "All Sears associates currently working in our Centre Mall retail store operation will be transferred to Eastgate," added Ms. Weadick. "The Centre Mall location will continue to serve customers in the area through the summer and Sears new location at Eastgate is expected to open thereafter with a seamless transition for our customers."
