A rare exhibition of more than 100 antique traditional clothes will be at display for the Indonesian people at Balai Sidang Senayan exhibition hall in Central Jakarta, from April 16 to 20.
Indonesian Traditional Textiles Society will organize this expo titled 'Adi Wastra Nusantara', to celebrate the 100th anniversary of National Awakening Day. It plans to provide once in a life time opportunity for textile admirers to get glimpse of batik, embroidery and woven precious pieces which belong to renowned collectors of Indonesia.
The exhibition will also showcase exquisite pieces created by famous manufacturers of other Asian countries like China, India and Japan exclusively for art appreciators.
Many activities including fashion shows focusing on traditional designs along with business deals will take place simultaneously with the event.
