Igmatex exhibition 2008 recently held at yashwant club ground, Indore from 22-24 February 2008 for apparel machinary and accessory. Igmatex was inaugurated by Dr. Umashashi Sharma , Mayor of Indore, guest of honour was Shri Shanti Priya Doshi President Indore readymade vastra vyapari sangh, Special guest Shri Girdhar Gopal Nagar president cloth merchants association. Mr. Manoj Sinha Chief Marketing Officer Igmatex fair welcomed all the guest.

In a short speech, Mr. Rajesh Sinha expressed good business possibilities in Indore which has emerged as a potential town as far as garment manufacturing is concern. There is a need to support the manufacturer financially, morally and technically. Govt of Madhya Pradesh, Financial Institutions and private sector should come out to support them.

GTZ was one of the participants of the show called a press conference at the venue to locate possibilities in garment industry. Mr. Ranjan Kumar , country head briefed about the acivities of GTZ in India. Mr. Madhu Kapur Special invitiee expressed his openion about the training of skilled labour to increase production and maintain quality. He also promised to open ALT training institute at Indore. He formally announced kanpur exhibition on behalf of organiser.

About six months ago when the show was announced, no one thought about the thrilling response of the show. But the returns from Exhibition are bigger and better. Around 3500 prospective visitors visitedthe exhibition and 55 companies participated.

Most of the big brands of the market were seen in the show such as Inside, Fabcare, Vaibhav Global, Chola Ind, Shree Aman, India Agencies, Godolo & Godolo, Rajasthan International, Unik machines, Surya thread, Thermax, Optitex, Elgi, Super lab, Spraway, Welco Ahencies, Brother International, Bridge Corporation, Beacon international, R K Sewing machines, Benz Embroidary systems, Xcel, CIPL, Hakoba Threads, Embo embroidary systems, Om satya, Fieya vision, G-Tex, Shiv Shakti and apart from these HSBC Bank, SOTC, Sangam studio, media group like Apparel Online, Garment Line and Fashion Era also participated in the show and enjoyed.
