The trade exhibition accompanying TextileTrends gives visitors an opportunity to learn about the latest products and services.

In the constantly changing textiles market, a culture of innovation and technological developments is essential for the industry to thrive. This congress with participants from nearly all over the world has established itfelf as one of the most important meeting places for Members of the Board, Managing Directors and Senior Executives from fibre and textile producers, trading companies, consumers and research institutes.

In the past years about 150 participants discussed recent trends and success strategies of the textile industry. The 4th International Conference “TextileTrends” will give an update on innovations and developments in fibres, technical textiles, apparel and machinery again.

The programme chaired by Prof. Dr Thomas Gries, University of Aachen will discuss global trends and future markets, textile recycling, innovative fibre and nonwovens technologies, as well as new coating and finishing technologies.

The third day is focussed on smart textiles chaired by Markus Strecker, Interactive Wear. This day covers the advances in smart textiles in the frame of European projects (STELLA, BIOTEX, PROETEX, LIDWINE), new applications as well as technological solutions for energy management and power harvesting.
