Textile enterprises of Fujian Province attained total industrial output of nearly 1,65,115 billion yuan, showing a year on year rise of 25.8 percent, in 2007, exceeding national average level.
Industrial sales value reached up to yuan 1,58,823 billion marking an increase of 26.7 percent. Moreover, even the export delivery surged to almost yuan 43,731 billion, representing a boost of 27.5 percent.
In addition, textile units of Fujian gained total profit and tax of nearly yuan 11,407 billion, reaching 35.09 percent high. The industry fetched total profit of yuan 7,619 billion, augmenting 37.55 percent.
Production of synthetic fiber reached almost 1.37 million tons, a rise of 23.3 percent. Polyester fiber output was approximately 1.20 million tons, an increase of 24.58 percent. Nylon marked a growth of nearly 1,45,000 tons, raising 96.06 percent. Total yarn manufactured was around 1.08 million tons, a year-on-year growth of 9.9 percent.
Cloth production came up to 2.40 billion meters, an increase of 19.8 percent, overall output of dyeing cloth reached nearly 3.037 million meters, up by 8.3 percent. Nonwovens amounted to 63,900 tons, witnessing a rise of 32 percent.
Entrepreneurs of Fujian Province are content with their production and expect to continue this trend in the coming years as well.
