This Monday, on March 24, PTA prices saw a rise; MEG prices were in correction, prices of semi-dull and bright polyester chips moved higher, CDP slicing prices ascended, PET bottles price was in temporary correction.

Prices of acrylic Staple 1.5 D × 38mm, acrylic top 3D × 102mm was stabilized and CPL, nylon 6 slices prices were consolidating.

Polyester filament market remained steady with less trade volume. Draw Texture Yarn (DYT) from one of the largest manufacturer in Shengze rose 100 yuan per ton. Part of POY varieties went up to 100 yuan per ton, currently ex-factory price of POY 100D/144F was offered at 12,900 yuan per ton.

POY 100D/144F price offered by Taicang rose 50 yuan per ton. General production and market fluctuated by 7 to 9 percent. However, some factories, which had better marketing, could still balance it. Looking at polyester filament cost level, there will be slight price boost in short term.

Overall yarn and thread market was in stability. From varieties marketing trend, cotton yarn 32s, 40s were marketable; rayon yarn 10s enlarged its sale, but price was barely stable. Demand of pure polyester yarn 32s, 45s was fair; of which 45s enjoyed a little larger trade volume.

Polyester and viscose yarn, polyester and cotton blended yarn market had little changes. The market outlook is expected to maintain a moderate correction pattern.
