Daily quotation of various textile materials on Mar 31

This Monday, on March 31, market sentiment of PTA, MEG remained calm; prices were temporarily stable. Semi-dull and bright polyester chips were steady, CDP price were in correction, PET bottle slice supply was tight with prices slightly moved up.

Acrylic Staple 1.5 D × 38mm, acrylic top 3 D × 102mm prices were stable; CPL, nylon 6 slice prices were dull.

Total market turnover of polyster filament picked up slightly compared to the weekend, but market and production of spinning plants are still finding it difficult to strike the balance.

From dynamic display of downstream market, present status of polyester filament softened amid fluctuation; fabric inventories of downstream weaving plants are at high level; fund pressures are larger, they are cautious towards procurement of textile raw materials. Therefore short-term market movement of polyester filament will mainly follow consolidation trend.

Market sales of all cotton yarn 32s, J40 continued to enlarge; polyester and cotton yarn markets saw a very slight change. Demand of polyester yarn 45s slightly expanded compared to previous week, but trading volumes were lower. Presently, pure polyester yarn price remained stable.

Rayon yarn market saw decline in some varieties. Among them Polyester and Viscose Yarn also lowered prices, and VSF showed weakness. Market outlook of rayon yarn is expected to extend its downward trend.
