Suzhou Huayi Machinery Co Ltd, a subsidiary of Jiangsu Hengli Group, has succeeded in developing hydraulic looms.
Manufacturing of hydraulic looms by China has broken the age old monopoly of Japan and Europe in the industry.
Already, enterprises from Thailand, India and Vietnam are showing keen interest for purchasing these hydraulic looms produced by Suzhou Huayi Machinery Co Ltd.
Wujian city, Jiangsu Province is one of the most significant textile production bases in China housing some 90,000 sets of hydraulic looms. Presently, the city aims to produce high value-added fabric, however, the key equipment, hydraulic looms, needs to be imported from other countries.
This inspired the Hengli Group to manufacture hydraulic looms in the country itself. An investment of 40 million has been made since 2003 for the purpose. Nonetheless, China still has to rely on imports for some parts required in the manufacturing of these hydraulic looms.
