According to the statistics, enterprises in China, produced a total of 3.469 billion meters fabric, in February 2008, an increase of 549 million meters, witnessing 18.8 percent rise, when compared to same period of 2007.
In the first two months of 2008, the total fabric output of textile units was almost 7.553 billion meters, up by 11.59 percent in comparison to same period of last year.
The total production of cotton fabric boosted 18.25 percent with 1.86 billion meters cloth, increasing 287 million meters from last February. The total output of cotton fabric in the first two months of 2008, was approximately 3.854 millions meters, grew by 14.30 percent.
In addition, cotton yarn output was 1.05 million tons, a hike of 1,22,100 tons, showing a rise of 13.15 percent, than same period of last year. The total production of Chinese cotton yarns in January-February 2008, was around 2.268 million tons, up by 9.97 percent, than the same period of 2007.
