Pure benzene market prices for Asian region

On Wednesday, Asian pure benzene market closed down at US $5 per ton corresponding with the weaker close of the United States market. FOB Korea ended in US $1087-1088 per ton, Southeast Asia closed at $1079.75-1080.75 per ton.

US cargo for April shipment was traded at 386.5 cts per gallon ($ 1156.79/mt); premium for May and June futures was at 1 cent / gal ($ 2.99/mt), which reflects local supply was adequate; Asian market sentiment remained weak, and trade was plain.

Offers for May cargo closed at $1085-1095 per mt, and for June, the asking rate was $1085-1092 per mt FOB.

Device situation: Indonesia Reliance Industries plans to set the 2008 distribution ratio by 50:50 for its 700,000 tons of annual output between domestic and export sales.

It is learnt that most of the company's pure benzene sales are carried out in form of sales cantract, with main supplies shipped to Middle East, Europe and the United States.

Pure benzene market dynamics from part of domestic petrochemical enterprises

Ex-factory price from Jilin Petrochemical is implemented at 8,600 yuan per ton; the price offered to enterprises outside Petrochemical facility is implemented at 8,100 yuan per ton. However, the prices for within the plant is implemented at 8,500 yuan per ton, inventory touching near about 3,750 tons.

Current listing price from Dushanzi Petrochemical is at 8,150 yuan per ton, will be slightly lowered to contracted users. Prouductionand market remain steady.

Qingdao Li Dong currently offers at 9,100 yuan per ton. The plant has yet to reach its full operation.

Implementation price from Shandong Ji Wang Da is at 9100 yuan per ton, production has lowered to 160 tons per day level, current inventory stays at 1,430 tons.
