On an annual basis production for Manufacturing Industries for February 2008 was 0.9% higher than in February 2007. The seasonally adjusted volume of industrial production for Manufacturing Industries for the three month period December 2007 to February 2008 was 2.0%higher than in the preceding three month period.
The “Modern” Sector, comprising a number of high-technology and chemical sectors, showed an annual increase in production for February 2008 of 3.2% while a decrease of 4.1%was recorded in the “Traditional” Sector.
The seasonally adjusted industrial turnover index for Manufacturing Industries was 1.9% higher in the three month period December 2007 to February 2008 when compared with the preceding three month period.
On an annual basis turnover was 1.5% lower when compared with February 2007.
