Domestic PTA market looks frail

PTA spot price looked weak on April 17. In the domestic front, price of this product touched 7,800 yuan per ton and imported PTA was rated at 7,780 yuan per ton. Market price of MEG temporarily stabilized.

On one hand, Polyester market remained poor and semi-dull polyester chip market remained inactive. However, some enterprises offered concessions of 50-100 yuan per ton. Mainstream price in Zhejing market fell to 10750-10950 yuan per ton.

Talking about the PSF sector, Sinopec Beijing branch recently revised April PSF advocacy price to 11,700 yuan per ton, down 300 yuan from the beginning of the month; cash market continued to decline, offers from some manufacturers were slightly lower.

Currently mainstream price in Zhejiang market is quoted at 11350-11500 yuan per ton for delivery to buyer. Business inventories have increased to the volume of more than 10 days, funds are generally tight.

Bottle slice market in East China remained steady, market sentiment was poor; fewer buyers entered the market for making inquiries, factories generally offered at 11900-12000 yuan per ton, mainstream transaction price was at 11650-11750 yuan per ton.
