Uruguan & Argentine wool enjoys high demand in Intl market

In 2007, the export of processed wool from Uruguay and Argentina increased considerably, due to high demand from Chinese market. On the other hand, Australian wool market observed decline in exports.
Wool from Uruguay was mainly exported to countries like China, Italy, Germany, Turkey and Iran. Except for Italy, the exports to other three nations went up in comparison to 2006.
Argentina's wool was largely exported to Germany, China, Italy, Mexico and Turkey and other than Italy, all four export market's consumtion saw a considerable growth compared to 2006.
