According to Ministry of Industry and Trade (MOIT), in the month o April, textile and apparel exports from Vietnam fetched nearly US $700 million, a rise of $50 million or an increase of 8 percent, when compared to previous month.
During the first four months this year, through the export of textile and apparel products the country generated $2.6 billion, representing a year-on-year growth of almost 24.5 percent.
The year ahead for this sector seems to be bright, as most of the enterprises have started receiving orders for second quarter. According to local enterprises, the export prices for Q2 are surely going to be 10 to 20 percent higher in comparison to Q1.
