Cotton USA releases US cotton supply & offtake.
Highlights:
• 2007-08 World mill use estimated at 124.4 million bales, down 510,000 bales from April.
• 2007-08 World production estimated at 120.5 million bales, up 740,000 bales from April.
• 2007-08 U.S. mill use estimated at 4.6 million bales, down 100,000 bales from April.
• 2008-09 U.S. production at 14.5 million bales, U.S. mill use at 4.3 million bales.
• 2008-09 China imports estimated at 15.0 million bales, China mill use at 55.5 million bales.
