Forum with Polish entrepreneurs to fortify bilateral trade
13
May '08
A two-day Polish-Spanish Entrepreneurs Forum started on May 7 in Warsaw. Spain has emerged as one of the largest business and trading partners of Poland after the latter's affiliation with the EU.

In 2007, the total value of bilateral trade between the two countries reached euro 5 billion registering a surge of 30 percent over 2006.

Spain was listed among the top 5 investors in Poland by the National Bank of the country. Besides, there is a huge opportunity for dynamic development and mutual cooperation in areas like infrastructure, environmental protection, energy, textile and others.

With regard to energy, Spain is recognized as the biggest producer of renewable energy and trade with Poland on this aspect, particularly oil, can prove to be a fruitful venture. Moreover, exchange of technical machineries between the two countries also has a vibrant future prospect.

The forum is expected to help both the countries in realizing their trade potential and thereby ensuring that the long standing cordial trade relations are not only maintained but further strengthened for the mutual benefits of Spain and Poland.
