Nat Geo names Capistrano as the luggage line of the year

The National Geographic “10 Best of Everything” book, also known as “An Ultimate Guide for Travelers” has named the Capistrano Luggage Line from Ricardo Beverly Hills as a top pick in the luggage category in the 2008 edition.

“As we celebrate our 30th year in business, it is rewarding and a true honor for Ricardo Beverly Hills and the Capistrano luggage line to be named to the “10 Best of Everything” list in the prestigious National Geographic traveler's guide. We are proud to be featured in the 2008 edition, along with the top traveler choices for the best hotels, restaurants, resorts and even the best islands,” said Ricardo Beverly Hills President Robert Dodson.

Dodson continued, “Ricardo Beverly Hills is widely recognized for its passion to design and deliver the highest quality, best made, best value product in the luggage industry. The company was founded in 1978 and we are celebrating our 30th Anniversary this year.”

The Capistrano luggage line, as seen in the “10 Best of Everything” 2008 edition is one of the most popular collections offered by Ricardo Beverly Hills. Capistrano features Nano-Tex, a luggage industry first, which is the marriage of nanotechnology with fabric.

The integration of nanotechnology provides superior protection against stains and outdoor elements. The result is an impressive luggage line that stays cleaner and maintains the look of new luggage, even after several uses.

According to Dodson, the company has also designed a special 30th anniversary signature collection named “Melrose” which features a fashion forward color patchwork design and many special features including Nano-Tex treated fabric, and a proprietary handle/wheel system. The Melrose collection includes a 17” Wheeled Tote, 19” Travel Duffel, 22” Rolling Duffel, 22” Expandable WheelAboard and a 24” Expandable Upright.
