Sumitomo Chemical, one of the foremost petrochemical complexes located in Ehime Prefecture, restarted one of its two caprolactam plants, yesterday, which remained closed for over one and a half month.
The caprolactum facility, with a yearly production capacity of 90,000 mt, was shut due to some mechanical problem.
Official sources from Sumitomo Chemical, disclosed that although this outage led to some delays in caprolactam deliveries, the company, was able to maintain supplies to its regular customers.
