A statistical report of the China Textile Circulation Association shows that April production of polypropylene fiber reached 2,003 tons dropping by 4.07 percent or 85 tons compared to the previous month. However, it registered an increase of 3.46 percent or 67 tons compared to the same month last year.
April sales touched 1,993 tons, a reduction of 45 tons or 2.21 percent from the previous month and representing a year-on-year drop of 263 tons, or 11.66 percent.
Inventories for the month were marked at 1,993 tons showing a marginal increase over March. In terms of percentage the inventories leveled at 81.23 percent, a surge of 3.84 percentage points over March and recording a year on year drop of 1.00 percentage points.
Production and sales rate for the month settled at 99.50 percent, increasing 0.45 percentage points from the previous month, representing a yearly decline of 17.03 points.
