For the third year, the Alberta government named MEGlobal's Prentiss Operations an EnviroVista Leader during the province's Environmental Week (June 1-7, 2008).

In addition, MEGlobal's Fort Saskatchewan operations have played a key role in helping Dow Chemical Canada once again achieve the same designation in the Fort.

“Congratulations to all of our employees in Prentiss and at the Fort for this excellent recognition of their continued focus on environmental stewardship and of working within the principles of Responsible Care,” said Henry Roth, CEO, MEGlobal. “We are proud of the efforts of all of our colleagues in Canada as they continue to lead environmental excellence in industrial and manufacturing facilities across the Alberta region.”

MEGlobal was one of only 30 Alberta facilities honored this year as EnviroVista Leaders in recognition of outstanding performance that exceeds the expectations of the province's environmental legislation and demonstrates responsibility, stewardship and an ongoing commitment to improving environmental performance.

“The continued recognition as an EnviroVista Leader lends positive kudos to our manufacturing facilities as we execute our 2012 Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) goals which aim to reduce our environmental footprint even further,” said Bob Brandt, vice president MEGlobal manufacturing. “Our commitment and results in these areas play a strong part in ensuring responsible and sustainable manufacturing operations in Canada.”
