Museum of Ethnology to have a training course on weaving

This summer, besides the annual textile class organized every year, from June 14 through August 17, on Saturday and Sunday every week, the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology will have a training course on weaving.
Coming to the class, children will not only learn the history of weaving, techniques to weave several motifs and other everyday objects from bamboo, such as: baskets, tape fans and hats, but they will also learn how to weave the animal-shaped decorations on the ritual pole of the Thai, learn how to braid deer, rabbits, fish, grasshoppers and dragonflies from palm leaves and macaw leaves. In addition, class participants will be able to learn how to preserve the tools made from bamboo in their houses.
During this time, children can explore yourself the culture of the ethnic groups in Vietnam through the indoor exhibition, outdoor exhibition and the activities in the two discovery rooms.
