PTA price experienced a further rise on Monday, June 16, where as prices of MEG saw a slight retreat; semi-dull and bright polyester chips climbed up; prices of CDP chip and PET bottle-slice promoted again.

Acrylic Staple 1.5 D × 38mm, acrylic top 3 D × 102mm stayed in price consolidation; CPL, nylon 6 chips prices adjusted.

Market activities for polyester filament slowed down. Some varieties have seen a sligh rise. Traders believed that current operation of filament market was not strong due to cautious procurement of raw materials. Overall polyester filament market stepped into a short-term consolidation.

At the same time, rayon yarn market continued to fall; pure polyester yarn acquired upward trend; all cotton yarn market remained relatively stable with very slight change in the prices. Cotton yarn J21s sold better at the price of 22,300 yuan per ton, other specifications were rather thin in demand. Market demand of polyester yarn 45s was better than other products; its latest market price was concentrated at 15,700 yuan per ton. The latest prices of other products, like 21s and 32s, also rose slightly.

On same day, the latest market price of PSF stood at 12,000 yuan per ton, up 50 yuan from the previous day. With the rise in prices of raw materials from upper reaches, polyester yarns will also have corresponding elevation.

Rayon yarn products declined further. Prices of VSF were quoted at 15,500 yuan per ton. It is expected that rayon yarn products will continue its downward trend.
