The CFQ (Circle of the fermières of the Quebec) will be in congress from July 2 - 4 at Hotel of the Lords.
On this occasion, women from and around Quebec meet and continue to work for the improvement of the conditions of life of the women and family as well as to share the cultural and hand-crafted heritage of the province.
This congress is an occasion to adopt resolutions on health, education, security and the environment, the way it is being done for the last 90 years.
Women from all corners of Quebec will participate or will visit the hand-crafted exposition and will attend the various workshops and demonstrations.
The names of the winners of the competition organised for the textiles and handicraft for 2007-2008 will also be announced.
The exposition is open to the public on July 2 from 13 o'clock to 22 o'clock and on July 3 from 7 o'clock to 16 o'clock.
Founded 90 years ago, the Circles of Fermières is an apolitical association dedicated to improvement of the conditions of life of the woman and family as well as to transfer and knowledge sharing of hand-crafted heritage.
There are more than 40 000 members registered under the banner of the CFQ in and around Quebec.
