India – Promising market for textile machinery

China Council for the Promotion of International Trade recently informed that the future of Chinese products was very bright in Indian market.
It stated that these products were well-accepted by the Indian industry, especially technology and equipments like textile machinery.
Industry experts say that companies like Hangzhou New Heli Textile Machinery Co Ltd, which produce automatic filature machines, should sincerely try and penetrate this lucrative market.
Hangzhou Textile Company accounts for 75 percent share in the global automatic filature equipments market.
It was explained that silk industry in India is massive, ranking second to only China in the world. However, it seems that Indian Silk Industry is not as technologically advanced as even China.
India does not produce automatic filature machine locally and the players are forced to import these.
Last year, China Council had arranged for over 40 enterprises from Zhejiang province to participate in the exhibition held in India.
Sources confirm that this year, Chinese products exhibition will be held from December 10 to 12, 2008 in India. Many Zhejiang provincial textile enterprises have already entered their names.
