Audax presents TextielLab projects

Audax Textile Museum presents Tilburg on May 25 to 9 november 2008 exhibition From the Labyrinth to Big Mama, projects from the TextielLab.

With this exhibition shows the museum work in the TextielLab, the creative workshop of the museum, is made by leading designers and artists, such as Studio Job, Piet Hein Eek and Christie van der Haak, Jan Taminiau, Scholten & Baijings, Gust Bergmans, Barbara Broekman, Kiki van Eijk, and Aleksandra Gaca Berend Strik.

The projects in Van Labyrinth to Big Mama, projects from the TextielLab. Are linked by the fact that they are all manufactured in the TextielLab.

In this dynamic part of the museum and moustaches rattling machines, while artists and designers together with the textieltechnici at work.

Six techniques in the central TextielLab: Weaving, Brei, Embroidery, Lasercut, Print and Tuft.

Besides the high-tech, computerized equipment is also cherished the craft, as in the exhibition can be seen in the handgetufte carpets of Berend Strik and Barbara Broekman.

Al earlier, in 2005, the Textile Museum showed a wide range of arts and designprojecten from the TextielLab under the title Made in Tilburg. Now is a sequel to this exhibition suspending process and realization of a fourteen projects will be examined.
