According to the latest figures from the National Bureau of Statistics, vinylon fiber output in China reached 5,039 tons in June 2008, up 122 tons or 2.49 percent from that in May. This also represented a year-on-year growth as high as 42.86 percent.
Experts say that this upward trend is a positive sign for man-made textiles, when natural fibre industries like cotton and wool are still trying hard to cope with international trade pressures.
In the first half of 2008, China's total production of vinylon fiber registered 27,992 tons, a 23.05 percent surge over the same period last year.
