Many textile enterprises from Changlou city, Fujian Province visited the recently held China International Textile Machines Exposition (CITME) in Shanghai. They were seeking advanced machinery and equipments, which would most probably help them reduce their production cost.
According to the statistics, in the first season of this year, among the 178 big textile and clothing manufacturers in Changlou city, 51 firms incurred significant losses. The chief reason for this is the rising raw-material and energy prices that have led to high production cost.
Experts say that upgrading machinery is extremely important, since new equipments consume less oil and give better results.
Thus, though price of some advanced machinery displayed at the Fair was over 10 times the common equipments, many Chinese textile companies decided to make the purchases.
Sources from some companies explained with the help of these machines they would be able to improve product quality as well as save on labour costs.
