Uzbekistan still top exporter of cotton!

According to latest customs statistics, in the first half of this year, the trade value between China and Uzbekistan reached US $711 million, representing a rise 17.4 percent than the same period of last year.
Of these, China exported $502 million worth of products to Uzbekistan, up 44.4 percent and imported $209 million worth of items from this region, recording a significant year-on-year drop of 19 percent.
Clothing products ranked second highest value among China's exports to this country at $21.61 million, down by 41.2 percent as compared to same period of 2007.
Though import value of cotton slid 21.3 percent, it was still the top purchase made by China from Uzbekistan at $173 million.
The import value of leather products was $0.619 million, marking a plunge of 29.7 percent from same period last year.
