Turkey, recently, started conducting anti-dumping investigation on the polyester fibre imports from Taiwan. Reportedly, initial results prove that the dumping by Taiwan still exists and is damaging the domestic industries.
However, Turkey will continue further thorough investigation regarding the matter. Country will formally charge Taiwan once the final results are out.
Experts say that this is quite a blow for Taiwan, considering the continuing investigations and allegations by the US and EU.
In 1992, Turkey had proved dumping of polyester fibre by Taiwan. The involved Taiwan manufacturers were Chung Shing Textile Co Ltd, Far Eastern Textile, Nan Ya Plastics Corporation and Shin Kong, among others.
