Rohm and Haas Company announced a worldwide price increase for polymers and preservatives of up to 20%. The increase will be effective August 25, 2008 or as contracts permit.
In making the announcement, Stephen Lee, Global General Manager, Personal Care, stated that the increase is needed to cover the continued escalation of raw materials, logistics and operations-related costs.
He further stated, “Although we are always looking to find ways to minimize the impact of increasing costs on our customers, it continues to be necessary to pass along product price increases, but we remain committed to our customers and to provide them with high quality and innovative products.”
