Uttar Pradesh to frame new textile policy

11) The policy must address labor law anomalies and labor overtime issues.
12) Textile and garment exporting units should be allowed to adopt hire & fire policy to compensate the seasonal nature of these businesses.
13) The facilities in ITI's, polytechnic, textile institute (GCTI) and research institute (NITRA) in UP should be updated to facilitate the manpower training & development for textile & garment industry.
14) Uttaranchal model should be followed for revival of closed and loss making state owned spinning mills i.e. allowing private participation with long term lease.
15) Technical textiles have great future hence should be addressed separately in the policy.
