Recently, Jide Group announced that it had successfully developed a new kind of functional fabric by blending Outlast and Modal fibre.
It is reported that Outlast fibres store excess heat and create as well as release it as and when it is needed. This regulates the body temperature and keeps the person comfortable through all his activities.
Modal fibre, a part green fibre, has characteristics of terylene, moisture absorption capacity superior to cotton fibre.
Thus, company said that the innerwear made from the new fabric will offer warmth to the wearers in winter and keep them cool in scorching heat.
Currently, Jide is the only Group in China that manufactures this fabric on large scale.
This fabric has already gained popularity among Chinese textile industry, and insiders believe that it has the potential to be accepted well in international market.
