Pantex announced that it will add a high-speed nonwovens pin perforation line at its faciliy in the United Arab Emirates.
Pantex has invested €600,000 in the new Taiwanese-made line, which is expected to begin production by November 2008.
Pantex has also reached an agreement with regional nonwoven producers to supply spunbonded and thermal bonded substrates for this new line.
Pantex CEO Jim Cree said that the decision to source nonwovens is consistent with Pantex's strategy of being a company dedicated to specialty perforated products.
In addition, due to recent raw material trends, during the month of Ramadan Pantex announced that it will not raise the price of its perforated Topsheet films produced in the UAE.
