The high-speed, two-bar tricot machine with CFR components is also extremely flexible. Compared to the HKS 2-3 E it can also process filament yarns in GB 2 and thus extends the product range to include non-stretch fabrics as well as stretch fabrics.

The KARL MAYER Group was able to welcome almost all of its lace customers to the celebrations held to mark the opening of the new KARL MAYER (China) site in Wujin, as well as to its stand at ITMA ASIA + CITME in Shanghai. This world leader used this opportunity to present in detail the special features of its current lace machine range, the TL 43/1/24, the RSJ 5/1 EL and the ML 33 CD, and to discuss new projects with several manufacturers.

Lace producers in China are also being affected by the current difficult situation on the market. At the difficult interface between rising production and finishing costs and falling fabric prices, they are being forced to maintain their position on the basis of accumulated over-capacity. Most manufacturers are pessimistic about the next six to nine months and, as well as discussing medium-term trend forecasts, were mainly talking about strategies for survival.

The new models in the Textronic Lace and Rascheltronic series, which are unsurpassed in terms of their speed, flexibility and user friendliness, could prove to be their knights in shining armour. Producers of high-quality relief lace in particular were especially keen to learn more about the performance features of the TL 43/1/24 being exhibited, and they were not disappointed. This lace raschel machine with 43 guide bars is 20% faster than the TL 31/1/24 previously available on the market and, with 12 extra pattern bars behind the fall plate, is also more flexible.

The main features of the new RSJ 5/1 EL are that it offers plenty of scope for designing fabrics and a high degree of versatility. This new member of the Rascheltronic family combines a new electronic guide bar control facility (EL) with the tried-and-tested piezo jacquard system, which has enabled the product repertoire of the machine to be extended to meet the requirements of the market.

Stretch and non-stretch lingerie fabrics, tulle, sportswear fabrics and textiles with integrated functions are among the fabrics it can produce. The Multispeed sequential yarn feed system at every warp beam position enables the right amount of yarn to be fed to the knitting elements, so that different stitch densities having different elongation values can be worked. The RSJ 5/1 EL is equipped with all these features and operates at the usual max. speed of 1,100min-1.
