Lydall Inc announced that Peter M. Kurto has joined Lydall Inc as Vice President – Business Development.
In this newly created position, Kurto will be responsible for implementing Lydall's business development strategy and identifying growth opportunities for the Company's core markets of air and liquid filtration, life sciences and biomedical, and thermal and acoustical solutions.
Kurto has nearly 20 years of business development experience and is a certified Six Sigma Black Belt. He brings a unique disciplined structure and methodology to Lydall's development and due diligence processes. Before joining Lydall, he was Global Marketing Director for Imerys - Filtration Division, a $450 million business, where he led merger and acquisition activity, focusing on deal origination, financing, and negotiation.
His experience spans domestic and international markets including Europe, Asia, and India. Prior to Imerys, Kurto was with General Electric Co. where he led its Plastics Intermediates Business having been promoted to that position after serving in a number of business development and strategic planning management roles. Kurto holds a B.A. degree in economics from Brown University and a MBA degree in Management Strategy, Finance, and Marketing from the University of Georgia, Terry College of Business.
