Bahirdar textile mill drafts project to boost performance

Bahirdar textile factory is set to develop and refurbish the waving, dyeing and other departments with an investment of 270 million birr.
Sources stated that this forty-year old mill is awaiting the approval of the board and the textile department of the Bahirdar University for this project.
Insiders informed that this expansion will improve factory's production and enable it to export over 80 percent of its items.
Once fully operational, this project, designed by professionals, will create job opportunities for nearly 200 workers in addition to the existing 1,400.
The experts expect this venture to kick off with in next couple of months and be completed in about two years.
