Tuesday, February 3rd, 2009 - 11:00 AM - Finishing Jeans: Present and Future Trends and Technologies in Denim - Enrique Silla, President, Jeanologia, Inc – Valencia, Spain
Michelle Branch, Creative Director, Jeanologia, Inc. – Valencia, Spain

The future in jeans will be dominated by two main concepts: "Cloning True Jeans" and "Ethics in Manufacturing - Blue versus Green". Michelle Branch, Jeanologia's Creative Director and Enrique Silla, Jeanologia's President will show "the light" of the future for indigo.

Phil Patterson, Managing Director, Colour Connections Textile Consultancy – Matlock, United Kingdom : Eco-metrics is a simple, but powerful tool that enables you to calculate the impacts of different products and processes. It looks at the four key environmental impacts of water, energy, use of non-renewable resources and pollution; assigns scores and gives a total score for the production of a textile. Additionally it assesses the impact of domestic laundry and product disposal and communicates all the results in a simple easy to understand format.
