First prize in the Research category is endowed with €7,000, second prize with €2,000, and third prize with €1,000. The three best entries the category Students & Young Professionals will receive awards of €3,000, €2,000 and €1,000 respectively.

The winning exhibitor at IMB in the category for market-ready innovations having to do with the processing of flexible materials will receive the IMB Innovation Award for 2009. The award winners will be selected by a five-person jury consisting of representatives of the international trade press and of globally operating companies in the sector.

The best product developments and research findings will be on show in the Innovation Area of IMB 2009 on the Boulevard at Koelnmesse.
